Jon Whitlock - Division Chief

Division Chief Jonathan Whitlock began his fire service career in 2004 after working in the life safety industry installing fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems. He is a certified paramedic, fire inspector, and fire investigator, and has served on the Lee County Arson Task Force since 2010.

Chief Whitlock has held instructional roles at Braxton College Fire School and in the paramedic program at Florida SouthWestern State College, contributing to the education and development of future fire and EMS professionals.

In 2025, he earned a master’s degree in philosophy, further strengthening his leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. As Division Chief of EMS, he is committed to advancing operational readiness, clinical excellence, and high-quality service to the community.
