Hello subscriber,

This week and going into next, you can anticipate seeing people from various entities surveying Upper Captiva. These workers are from the Health Department, Solid Waste, Emergency Operations, Lee County Property Appraiser's office, and several others. They are continuing today on the beaches and between homes in an effort to educate themselves and assist. Before calling law enforcement, please keep this message in mind.

We have set up a charging area for cell phones downstairs in one of the truck bays. We will happily charge golf cart batteries too. Just bring the charger and set up shop for a little bit. We have arranged for drinking water and have 3 pallets of water to share. We will provide to homeowners first (1 case per household please) then to workers on the island. Remember, these workers are working to help clean up our community and do repairs, so let's be kind to them. If there are extras, we will announce an additional round of distribution. The charging station and water will be available 8am-8pm daily. (Charging station is available now and water is being unloaded as we speak and making its way to the station, so it miiiight be better to come by starting Tuesday)

I am still working on the shower station and porta-toilets from either our county or state resources. We are doing our best to get any and all safety and humanitarian assets delivered to our beloved Upper Captiva Island in response to these hurricanes. Let’s work together, one step at a time, and we will be on the other side of this.
Island Girl Charters: New Times Added Back! We’re excited to share that Island Girl Charters has added back more departure times from Pineland Marina as the island recovers from hurricane damage! You can now catch the ferry at 7 AM, 9 AM, 3 PM, and 5 PM. These additional times make it easier than ever to get to and from North Captiva as we continue the journey back to normal. Book your ride today and let Island Girl Charters take you where you need to go!

Island Club: The Island Club it self held up during hurricane Milton. We are OPEN AT MANGOS. The Ferry service is back to full schedule of operations. Our shipping receiving and mail service is operating normal. We are reaching out to individual home owners with your home report. We will continue to support the community and provide resources the best we can. The best way to support us is to use our ferry and support Mangos. Praying for those who had damage to their homes.
Please keep in mind, LCEC continues to work from sun up to sun down each day to make repairs. Our island home is in repair mode and currently without power and therefore, many places are without water. Please contact your individual residential property manager for your particular location’s update.
