Hello subscriber,

Please see the notice from Lee County below:
Lee County is extending the set-out deadline for residents of Cayo Costa and North Captiva until the end of December. This allows residents more time to stage debris into appropriate pick-up locations to help crews expediate collection.

Debris should be staged bayside on the beach. All material should be placed close to the high-water mark to prevent debris from entering the waterway. Markers will be placed on the beach by contracted crews to indicate where debris should be placed.

Residents are reminded to separate their debris by the following commodity types:
Vegetation
Construction & Demolition Materials
Household Hazardous Waste
Appliances

Crews are expected to begin collection the first week of January. Collection may take several days to complete.

Residents with questions can call Lee County Solid Waste customer service at 239-533-8000. Additional information is available at www.leegov.com/storm.
