Hello subscriber,

LCEC are studs.... They have worked incredibly hard to get power back to our island. Captiva where our feed comes in from had a hiccup which they repaired yesterday morning early afternoon. LCEC has started flipping power on. The fire district is on power currently. We all know that this may cycle on and off for a few days due to finding damage after a grid is energized.

Drinking water is at the fire station for the taking as we have stated in previous post.

The ground game is strong!!!!! Alex, Duncan, Jeff, Chris and Noah including others NCIC, Sean at Shally's all have offered their time and effort to help rebuild the pathways. We here at the fire district thank all of you in stepping up in the community, in our time of need and volunteering your time to assist our community.

I want thank the individuals who have organized a fund raiser to help with the cost of the roads and repairing them. I do not want to forget anyone who has helped in this overwhelming effort but I know I am gonna. I can not forget about Emmett and Sherman both have been instrumental in getting water turned back on at the fire station so the firefighters could shower and if we needed to refill our engines during an emergency. Knock on wood that hasn't happened.

Lastly, I do believe we have an incredible community if we can continue to focus on the future, come together to hopefully improve our pathways and get prepared for future acts of God.
