As we bid Bon Voyage to Engine 191 as she travels to the mechanic's for damage assessment for insurance, we welcome Engine 192 to our island family. E-192 is a used, low-milage apparatus that is well-equipped to address fire emergencies on our barrier island of Upper Captiva. We thank our taxpayers for supporting the Upper Captiva Fire & Rescue District year over year. We all know that taxes are never fun, but a necessary reality of homeownership. Through your tax dollars, purchases such as this one is integral to the continued success of our operation!

In addition, we'd like to continue our unending gratitude to Anne-Caroline Brown Taylor and Duncan Rosen at @North Captiva Barge Company for providing so many complimentary trips to the island. After island leadership met with Emergency Operations for asset procurement, North Captiva Barge Company provided transportation for many, many items and equipment to the island. This equipment and emergency supplies have benefitted the fire station, residents and workers with much-needed assets for recovery.
