Chief Martin has been notified Pine Island WILL NOT accept our current Hurricane Hang Tag passes for re-entry during a hurricane emergency. Since we must make access through their district, we must change our method of obtaining passes.
Matlacha/Pine Island Fire District has partnered with the Lee County Sherriff’s office to enforce the use of re-entry stickers. There is no “on island” option to obtain the hurricane pass. Stickers must be picked up in person or obtained by mail with proper documentation.
Below are some links to apply and receive your passes. Please do so before the hurricane season begins. Hurricane season begins June 1 and runs through November 2020. We all want to be prepared for hurricane season. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
