March 2019 Update

Hello to everyone! I see that our island is in full swing with the “busy season” as some call it. I hope we are all enjoying the weather and success in our ventures.

Let me offer an informal invitation for you to swing in and tell us how we are doing, or just say, “Hi!” and grab a cup of coffee!  We would love to get to know you.

I would like to remind property owners and guests it is imperative to keep the ends of our roadways open for emergency vehicle traffic. I see many golf carts parked at the end of several of our streets while people enjoy the wonderful beaches. We use those same venues to access the beach area for assistance with Fire or EMS services.  We are unable to navigate around the parked carts to get to the beach. Thank you for helping us serve you effectively!

Finally, I would like to invite everyone to a Memorial Service that Mr. Bill Byrnes is has been very gracious to organize on Saturday morning, March 16, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. on the front drive at the Fire Station. I believe it is important to acknowledge those we have lost this past year and the work that each had made to make our community better.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,

Jason M Martin, Chief
